Alternative Alkaline Homefries…

Oh my…It’s been 2 years and 10 months since I made a post. Sometimes certain things in life get pushed back for further growth. Since my last post, my mentor in my mind, Dr. Sebi has transitioned.  I feel we lost a treasure of a human being and it will be long time before another being like him is created in my lifetime.

People who follow Dr. Sebi’s approved list of foods are continuing the practice of an Alkaline diet. I follow a page on facebook that people put their alkaline recipe’s on.   I also found Ty’s Conscience Kitchen on You Tube (YT). He and his wife have separate channels there. He does the cooking & she does the shopping on their channels.

You can follow my YT channel. There, you will find Yoga video’s, meditation videos, & Solfeggio-Isochronic-Alpha/Theta/Delta meditation frequency video’s to meditate to. There you will also find Ty’s video’s under Conscience Kitchen or under the Library tab-Ty’s Conscience kitchen.  Or you can follow Ty on his Facebook page. Here you will find information to go to his YT page, cookbooks that were recently released, and his website right in the pinned post. It’s been so helpful to me in navigating what to put on my table.

I have been using these two places to go, to help keep my alkaline dishes tasty. I’m going into my 3rd year of this Electric/Alkaline lifestyle, but this is the year where I go ONLY ALKALINE. No more cheating & sliding, no more being unprepared when I can’t eat from my kitchen. I did not even have alcohol for the new year. I had some chamomile tea instead

This morning I was going to make some porridge. When I got to the kitchen, I felt I wanted something more colorful on my plate. One of the approved foods on Sebi’s list is Burro’s banana’s. When they are green, the taste mimics potatoes. When it turn’s yellow, then it’s sweet.

As I started with one banana recipe, I started to create something else. My first ingredients were burro banana, okra & baby portobello mushrooms. As I started to saute’ the banana & okra, I realized that this dish was not colorful enough. I then added some red onions & orange & red peppers. I then looked at the this dish and then said, this is not going to be enough for husband and I.  I only used one banana. I then once again looked at the dish and said this looks like Homefries. So I started cutting up the banana & realized this had enough color and served a good and hot colorful dish.

What sparked me to write this post was that I realized that after a few years participating in this lifestyle, I’m beginning to know how and what to mix. I remembered that burro’s banana’s can be a potato substitute, thus I found a replacement for a taste I don’t have to give up.  You will find that with many of the recipe’s.

Note: Purple, reds, yellows, white, green & orange are some of the colors you should be making sure are on your plate. Not protein-meat, starch-white rice, or just 1/4 of vegetables on plate…should be at least half.

One large burro banana or two if you like
Eight pieces of okra
three mushrooms (cut any way you like)
Half a red & orange peppers
half small red onion
1/4 grapeseed oil
1/2 tbs onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbs of dry oregano
1 tsp sea salt

Cook in a pan and at medium heat. Add oil. Put all the seasoning in then add cut up burro’s. When the oil starts burning out, add a 1/4 cup of spring water just to steam the pan. When burros are half cooked then add okra, peppers & onions. When the onions turn translucent then add mushrooms. Stir until burros are cooked. Should be soft but not mushy. Enjoy with a good cup of herbal tea. This is just a template recipe. Add more or less to your taste.

Bon Appetit’
